NUR at the Riyadh Marathon: Real World Validation and a Defining Moment
ASICS CEO Yasuhito Hirota was among the first to experience NUR at the Riyadh Marathon, a landmark public debut that turned assumptions into evidence and curiosity into demand.
The Riyadh Marathon 2026 marked NUR's first large scale public deployment, and the response surpassed every expectation. Following Amplifai Health's first place win at the ASICS Innovation Pitch in October 2025, we were given the opportunity to bring NUR to one of the region's most prominent sporting events, made possible through the partnership of ASICS EMEA and the Saudi Sports for All Federation.
Among those who stepped in front of the smart mirror was ASICS CEO Yasuhito Hirota, an early and meaningful signal of the recognition NUR is earning at the highest levels of the global sports industry.
Over the course of the event, people lined up, engaged deeply, and left with personalised thermal insights and actionable recommendations they could act on immediately. Many asked where they could go for another scan. What we witnessed was not curiosity. It was demand.
The reception extended well beyond the public. Physiotherapists from leading clubs, practitioners from longevity clinics, representatives from the Ministry of Health, and Prince Khaled all engaged with the technology, each bringing their own lens to what proactive, accessible care could look like at scale.
This debut was years in the making. It gave us the chance to validate long standing assumptions in a real world environment, and the data, the conversations, and the faces of people walking away with genuine insight confirmed what we had set out to prove.
None of it would have been possible without an exceptional Amplifai Health team who worked relentlessly behind the scenes, and without the trust of our partners at ASICS EMEA and the Saudi Sports for All Federation. To both, a sincere thank you.
We are not simply building technology. We are shaping a new standard of proactive and accessible care. Exciting updates are coming soon.
